Congrats to Kamloops Blazers Class of ’95

It took awhile but 2 members of the last Kamloops Blazer team to win the Memorial Cup achieved personal milestones last night. Both Jarome Iginla and Shane Doan celebrated personal success last night.

Eventhough the night was supposed to be a celebration of Olli Jokinen’s 1000th NHL game, Jarome Iginla registered his 500th career NHL goal on a carefully executed double-bank shot in last night’s win over Minnesota.  Iginla celebrated by waiving his “no-trade” clause.  Jokinen celebrated by adding another tattoo.

"There. 500. Now trade me to a contender."

It took over 1100 NHL games, but Shane Doan recorded his 1st NHL hat-trick.  Hats were tossed from the Phoenix fans by the thousands as the Coyotes were, coincidentally, holding a “Senior’s Hat Night” promotion.

These hats rained down on the ice after Doan's hattie. Most fell woefully short of the ice as the senior's arms ain't what they used to be
