Week 22 – Month To Go
Lots of perfect weeks: Derko, Haukster, eZ, Fulty, T-Man.
Fulty jumped back into first
Derko up to 3rd, Haukster to 4th, and Rolphy dropped to 5th for the last $ spot
Team T-Man is the hottest right now with a .853 winning % in the past 6 weeks. As T climbs the standing, Orv’s chance of using T-Man’s 1st round pick in 2015 to grab one of the prize kids, grows from slim to really, really slim.
No change in the Great Turtle Race as JBR is still in front (or behind, depends on pt. of view.) Also, JBR has the bye week in the last week so if things follow form, it might come down to player points to see which rookie GM has the best chance at McDavid.
No more pick-ups til next year: JBR uses the last one of the season to grab Andrew Hammond, the “Hamburglar,” from Ottawa
Well, POTW is not going to Andrej Pavelec of the Jets. Dude, did you even try?
But it goes to Haukster’s Tuukka Rask with 8 graceful points.
Ever wondered why the guy behind the viz bench always has his window-licker kid on his lap with ear protection? So did others.
Sabres Getting Rid of “Turdburger” Jerseys.
On the bright side, Orv will be able to get a bunch of them on his next trip to ValueVillage. (from the rolphyfiles)
Jordan Eberle hosted a recent Twitter edition of Rogers Hometown Hockey.
Other Penguins don’t take so kindly to being LePoked by Letang
If you’ve ever seen the “Between Two Ferns” Funny or Die skit hosted by Zach Galifianakis, you’ve seen him
interview talk over such celebrities as: Justin Bieber, U.S. President Barack Obama, Brad Pitt, Conan O’Brien, Will Ferrell, and Bradley Cooper to name a few.
In this iteration, Ducks forward Ryan Kesler takes over the hosting gig and interviews teammate Cam Fowler. If there’s one thing Kesler has down it’s the sarcasm, and the I-don’t-care-about-you attitude that Galifianakis makes famous.
Here’s the full segment:
RK: “On your Wiki page it compares you to Chris Pronger and Dion Phaneuf.”
RK: “Really? Those guys are like 12 inches taller than you and 50 pounds heavier than on you. Who wrote that? You, or your mom and dad?”
And a warning to all those half-fans in the $300 seats who are too busy taking selfies or tweeting/posting about what an exciting hockey “match” they’re at. For the sake of everyone, “Put Your Damn Phone Away!”
